Anyone using these lights?

Do you have to call in for bulbs? I cna't seem to navigate through their website to any listings/pricings for bubls.

Oops I meant to type reefgeek.com sorry about that. They list the Phoenix bulb on the front page. Btw, I love the color that this bulb puts out. It's so much better than the Odyssea brand 20K bulb.

Ebisan,

You wouldn't happen to have before and after pics of the different bulbs would you?

Marcelo -

Here's a before and after pic. My camera sucks with lighting. THe Odyssea light is pretty white with no blue. The Phoenix is a warmer white with some blue in it. I think the Phoenix bulb makes the tank look a lot nicer and my corals seem to like it too. I'm currently looking for a better digital slr camera to take some of the nice pics that I see posted on here.

ebsian nice tank i like ur design!!!

question: anyone tried their skimmers? are they good or bad or what.. i

Thanks! I saw their skimmer at the store. Both types, the one that looks like a Seaclone and the other a BakPak. I was going to get BakPak clone but bought a Remora instead. I think either of the Jebo's would work well in smaller sized tanks. Someone posted on here that they got one. Maybe they can post a review.

Kelley_mc did have a bad experience over a $7 light bulb, but many other people have been very pleased with what they have received. I have ran 2 of the 48" PC fixtures over my tank for over a year now, and have been very very happy with the product. I did replace the bulbs after about 8 months, and they new bulbs do put out much better color.

FWIW

What bulbs did you replace them with? I got the same set up on ebay. I like them but I have been wondering what to replace the lights with.

I honestly can not tell a difference from the pics, but I am sure it's different in person :)

From the pics you really can't tell the difference. But the Phoenix is much bluer. My digital camera is getting old. Going to get a new one hopefully. I will try to borrow girlfriend's camera and take a better pic.

I've read through the many different posts here about these light fixtures. I don't own them but, it would seem as though since alot of people is having trouble with the communication and shipping from Aquatraders, why not just purchase them from the several different venders on ebay for cheap and bypass using Aquatraders. Many people said that they like the fixture but not the retailer. Was it also confirmed that the bulbs could be upgraded and purchased from somewhere else? Again bypassing Aquatraders. I got an idea....I think I'll bypass Aquatraders!

yeah thats a good idea!.. i got a lil question.. anyone have the jebo 24" lights 110 watts? when it comes time to change the lights how would u do that? i see wires going into the lights itself. i was just wondein for the future

Just remember the orientation of the wires. When you get the new bulb, just put the wires back in the same order.

No but I've had my 48" so long that it came with just the wires to the bulb (mom's new one a couple of weeks ago had the plug or end caps for the bulbs )

When I change the bulbs I just carefully pull each wire from the bulb and put them on the new bulb in the same order. Just pull gently from as close to the bulb as possible and check how the colored wires go on the bulb before you pull them off as that makes it easier to put them back on the same way.

4 X 55 PC

4 X 55 PC

OK, I need to hear from all of you who actually own the 220 Watt 4 x 55 PC from Jebo. Still happy?

1) How hot do they get?

2) Do they come with "legs" to prop them up off the tank, do you just set them across the top (and if so, what about the center bracket?)? Is this a dumb question???

3) What kind of corals are you able to keep with just the 220 Watt in a 55 gallon?

Anyone with experience with this, please help me out.

Thanks!

Tom
