Anyone using these lights?

Reefer Wannabe, I've been using the Jebo 4x55w on my 75 for the past year with no problems. The units does heat up abit but not so hot that you can't touch it.

I recently just changes out the bulbs for some hamilton 10k and 2 coralife actinic and that made a big difference. The lamp construction is not bad and they don't come with legs.
The unit lays on top of the tank. As for the center brace, don't worry about it. The lamp holds 4x55w bulbs. The middle where the two sets of bulbs meet sits roughly along the center brace. So there will be no shadow casted.

As for lifestock, I got many LPS like hammers, fragspawns and bubbles. I also have a rose anemone, three clams (2 squamosa and one gold teardrop max (~10 months old) and yes all growing and holding their color under these lights)).

Sounds like a good deal. Wow, you've got clams under those?

Do you have a glass cover on the tank at all or just set the fixture on top of the tank over the water?

Do you still have the clear cover over the bulbs? I read somewhere that someone's had cracked and they had replaced it with glass.

I'm thinking about getting them on Ebay -- $61 + $20 shipping! Not too shabby.

My lights are still working great. No problems yet. Knock on wood. For those of you that want to find a nice replacement bulb for the stock Odyssea 20K bulb, I highly recommend the Phoenix 14K. A nice light blue. Borrowed gf's camera and took some pics. Hopefully this pic will come out better than my pics.

still waiting.. old elvis at aquatraders billed me for a set of lights a week ago and it was supposed to be shipped out the following day.. I called and everyone is right the lady that answers the phone IS clueless.... she told me to talk to elvis later when he got in.. (I live in lforida I guess I should just keep calling every few hours) Instead of her telling me they would call me back.. ahahaha.. they are trying hard.. I think they have good product
and it being small just didn't know how much demand they would be getting... I like the chinese knock-offs...


I have a set of there 96 watt lights and a jebo 2003 (1500 gph) skimmer.. the skimmer is overkill for my 50 gallon.. anyone want to trade for the smaller version??? I think it is desined for a sump
it is hang on.. but it is BIG it takes up way to much space in my display and it wont fit inside my hang on cpr refugium...

the single fixture jebo 96 watt is nice 10000k/03 actnic combo bulb

I ordered anouther light it is the oddysea 192 watt compact
one 96 watt 14000k and one 96 watt 03 actnic

Ther is only one switch for the unit according to ole Elvis...
how would i make it to run each bulb seperatly since there is only one switch.. I really like running actnics just for dusk and dawn.

I hope you get your light soon. If it comes with multiple ballasts, it should be fairly easy to add another switch and power cord. I was wondering, if their prices were say $15 or $20 bucks more but the customer service improved, would people still pay the higher price.

I called they said they would be here in the next day or so...

I don't think the customer service is bad at all.. each time I have spoken to them I have gotten to talk to a real person.. not dial 3...then dail 1 then wait tell the next representative is availble.. ..
it is nice to talk to someone that is actualy at the place your calling and somewhat familuar witht he product they are selling.... The Lady doens't have a clue.. but can tell she speaks little english and is doing her best... and is polite.

Definitely great to see that the website is indeed being redone. A positive sign that they are and still will be around.

I imagine their small company has simply been overwhelmed by the interest in their products. Looks like they have taken time to stop & catch their breath and regroup.

How about a new picture of my tank with the dual MH unit.... Too bad most of my fish are hiding.. There is a lawnmower blenny, a royal gramma, a yellow watchman goby, and three pajama cardinals in it... Only had them for about a week though and they still fear me hehe...

My bulb on the right side of the tank is a different color each day... Today it has been yellowish light all day. Enough of these free bulbs!

I believe I'll be ordering a pair of Hamilton 14k bulbs tomorrow. Can't wait to get them in and try them out!

atleast your free bulbs are working.. I got my order today smashed.... The reflective lens is broken.. the bulbs are broken and the fan is LOUD.. I guess when the bulbs broke some kinda gas came out and the fans are now white and powdery...

Elvis was wrong it has two switches each switch controls one lightbulb and one fan.. not a switch for both bulbs and anouther switch for both fans like he told me.. Thats a good thing..

Bad thing is he isn't going to do anything to help me about the fan and the bulbs.. he said the fans are a little loud and the bulbs are free so he can't replace them but for 29.99 each he will send me some more... hell the fixture cost me 80 dollars I am not going to turn around and spend 60 more on bulbs.. he wont file a ups claim.. he will replace the damn plastic lens cover.. he said it will be to me in a week.... so basicaly I have a useless lightand i waited a week to get it and spent 80 bucks plus 17.99 for shipping and handeling.. UPS said since I wasn't there customer directly (meaning I didn't pay for the hsipping) I couldn't file a complaint...

I am upset and lightless.... If anyone has a source for cheap
96 watt actinic (36 inch long fixture) Please let me know.. I budgeted just enough for this light.. I had no idea I would get one that was busted up and not working without a warrenty

I am bumping this for everyone to see how crappy this is..
forget everything I said about good customer service.. I called ups myself agian tos tart a claim.. then aquatraders to tell them to be expecting a call and to verify the problem so UPS can purchse anouther fixture and get it to me using there insurance policy if that is indeed what happens.. the guy said sorry they are getting ready to close I could talk with them maybe tommorrow if elvis is there that he wasn't there today (I've already talked to him once today to let him know of a problem so I know he was there) Then Iasked if Karin Lee the lady that answers the phone is there or would be there tommorrow and he said he didn't know all he does is help close up at nights and everyone else is gone he was the only one there... (yet he answers the phone aquatraders may I help you)

I hope things work out for you. I might stop over there this weekend to look at their Jebo bullet tanks. I'm going to see if they will offer their products with a warranty and better service if they up their price a little (say $20 to $30) but still be cheaper than the others.

why don't you just deal with aquadeal on ebay then you have guarantees through them and paypal/ better yet pay with your credit card, most of them have dispute policies that would take care of problems with broken shipments. Just my .02
