I'm sure my wife would LOVE more reef related stuff! She's easy going but for some reason LOVES Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones. If Tanked is in competition with those Sunday night juggernauts, I will lose.

Ooh, Fridee I see! With 2 under 2, my wife is out by 9 on most Fridee nights. I'm on it! Looks entertaining.

They do set up reef tanks with liverock and live Corals.
As a matter of fact, you can purchase corals and fish from their company ATM.
Not sure if we'll see any real reef tanks on the show or not. It's not geared so much for that.
But they have done them. Wade King has been doing this stuff over 30 years. Before starting ATM with the Raymer family, he worked for other companies and his family back in New York was doing business when he was a kid.
You can see a little on some reef examples on their website.
However, most of their clients (with the exception of some biotope public aquariums which have some real reef exhibits) are high end fans of fish tanks. Purely for the atmospheric look and enjoyment of watching fish in very large or custom shaped aquaria. Built specifically to fit in the customers setting and a "turn key custom system" requiring less attention than a reef tank would require.
Despite the love most of these clients have for the tanks and time dedicated to an extent.. most are not "hobbyists" of the nature we are used to here on RC. and don't have the time commitment, understanding or wish to be that involved with the management of the more intricate chemistry of things in reef tanks. Most just want to enjoy their fish and the close to realism coral simulations. Most also pay to have the tanks managed as well as the original builds/installations.
Not that there are not reefers out there that have worked with them. There are. It's just not the usual focus of most of the companies work. Which is based on the majority of it's clients demands. Custom tanks for FO or simulated coral.
But they do get real corals and stock them for some clients. (a minority of them)
The guys are real open, nice, regular everyday guys. I've talked to both Wade and Brett via email and private "chat" online. When & if they have time, they'll talk to anybody who's being legitimate.
