anyone with a fission nano skimmer

What about this skimmer makes it worthless? I was thinking of getting one for the 24DX I'm going to get...any specifics about why it is worthless?

The skimmer constantly needs to be adjusted and you have to remove it from the nano cube to adjust it. It will fall apart when bumped. There is a sponge on it that needs changing more frequently than you empty the cup. It is installed with ether suction cups that don’t stick for more than a day or a clamp that does not keep the skimmer level.

Thanks.

Plus, the skimate cup is too small, it produces microbubbles and does a poor job skimming. A total ripoff.

Exactly my thoughts too. I got one and used it for a couple days, then just took it out of the tank.

Wait...do you mean the Fission or the one from Sapphire Aquatics?

I've been happy with my fission. I don't adjust it. And the suction cups have held since I placed it in the tank. I do get some micro bubbles but it really isn't that bad. The only negative thing I have to say for it is I have to change the little foam rings once every week or two. The micro bubbles decrease as the foam ring ages. As for the cup... I attached a length of air line tubing to the drain nipple and it empties into a container. I empty it once a week. It doesn't produce really really dark skimate like the larger skimmers I've used. But I do get a very deep olive colored skimate from it.
