Watching discovery HD right now and there is a sick program called equator which is all about reef fishes and corals. They show some spawning clowns and a ginormus magnifica really good show.

Yeah I was flipping through channels and all of a sudden see clownfish and a magnifica in high def and could not believe my eyes. I saw many different clowns.

There were a bunch of clowns- O. clowns, Pink Skunks, Clarki, Black Saddles.

As far as nems go- BTAS, Carpets, LTAs, and a giant BLACK magnifica. They said that it addapted to the black sand from a volcano. It was deffinantly awsome.

Best reef show I have seen to date.....and it was in HD!!!

Oh man. I wish I could have seen it. I wonder if they'll re-air it sometime soon. So I can record it and watch it over and over (like I do with the Shark Week's that I like to record - I love sharks!)

It is scheduled to re-air on Saturday 1/21 at 3 AM (Eastern time). The show was amazing. Anyone know how to transfer the video from my DVR to the computer? DVR and computer both have Firewire ports, but they were not communicating when I connected them up.

It is also on 1/22 at 5:00pm (EST) for those of us who don't want to stay up so late.:)
You don't need to have HD to see the show.

That anemone was S. haddoni (carpet anemone). It was not black, more of grey/green color with white stripes. Common color variant. :)

It was mentioned during the show that all clownfish begin their life as males  and that usually a single female shares an anemone with several males. How difficult is it to get the facts straight?

All in all, in terms of photography especially, the program was spectacular.

I misunderstood the Discovery Channel site. Apparently you need to have Discovery HD. The regular Discovery Channel doesn't show the "Equator" shows. Bummer:(

so we cant see this show if we dont have HD discovery channel? I only have the normal discovery channel, I guess Im behind in the times or just not as well off:) Any more info would be great.

So on Sunday just take the family shopping, and sit in the electronics section for an hour testing out HDTV's.

Yeah i am gonna see what I can do I think my buddy has a hd dvr. I am gonna try to record it on his. Does anyone know if you can record an hd show just regular and it will play regular. I will do my best to try to get a copy for you guys. Not to rub it in, but even my wife was absolutely blown away by the show. It was try something.

I have seen many different threads on this show, this show must have been really good. I am going to tag along and bookmark this thread, so maybe, hopefully, someone will be able to record it on their computer and maybe send it out or something,.
