anyone with mantis shrimps

I'm purchasing a tank beginning of January for a future mantis shrimp. I was wondering if anyone in the area has one and woulnd't mind if I get some pointers as to aquascaping and care of these guys.

I hope it is not in that rock you gave me D, I keep hearing these "clicking" noises from trash cans the rock is in. :mixed:

Joel, have you checked out the other forum pertaining to Mantis shrimps. You might find some information on them there too.

Yeah, I've been asking questions there as well. I think I'm ready to take care of one. I just wanted to see a setup in person, rather than pictures and text. As much as this forum has helped me with my habit, it's easier to talk to someone in person...at least for me it is.

No, he had a mantis tank, with a large mantis shrimp living in it. I believe the mantis is since deceased.
