anyone with TDS meter?

Hi all,

I use an Air/Water/Ice RODI. I used it for one year, then went out of the country for a year and it was in storage. Now I've used it another 9 months or so.

Because of the storage, etc., I'm concerned that the membrane has gone bad early, etc. I don't want it to degrade to the point that pretty soon I'm just putting tap-water in my reef.

I live in Oconomowoc. Does anyone nearby have a TDS meter? I was wondering if I could drive over sometime with a water sample and test and see how my RODI is working. I don't even know how a TDS meter works.

You should have mentioned it before coming over on Saturday; I have one. It is a Milwaukee Instruments and works great. I use it to determine when to do a filter change on the RO/DI.

You just turn it on and insert the end in a small water sample. A small amount is all that is needed, maybe 2 cubic inches.

Drop me a PM or call and we can set something up. I can even re-calibrate before we do the test.
