setting up a 380 on a steel stand. It will be sitting on a concrete floor. for those that have done this did you put anything on the concrete floor before setting the metal stand on it?

my steel stand sits on my rectified porcelain tile floor with no problems. 120x36x30 tank 2x2 3/16th steel.

nyvp, thanks, I was looking at your build last night and it didnt look like you had anything under it. Did you use any type of leveling feet or shims to make it level.

My stand sits on top of porcelin tile, which is on top of a concrete slab foundation. I have levelling feet on my stand

I placed 3/4" rubber horsemat under my 470 and 375.

Same here and would not do it any other way. The tank is 500g with 650g total volume.

mine sits on a wood subframe I used to level the inconsistancies in the concrete.

the wood is separated from the floor itself by 1/2 inch thick foam.

the floor had a 3/4 in rise in the middle, hence the use of the wood. It was cut to the contour of the floor to make an even level fit.
