I setup my AP24 about 6 weeks ago now.
I have:
6 Hermits
11 Snails (margarita, nassarius, bumble bee)
1 Ocellaris Clown
1 Bicolor Psuedo
1 Yellow Watchman Goby
Green star polyps
Anemone (don't know what kind it is)
Candy Cane Coral
Sand Sifting Starfish

I guess all the waiting and patience is finally paying off.

I got it from a buddy of mine that has a 135 gallon. He gave me the whole rock with the anemone and polyps.

I would like to know what kind of anemone it is too. And the polyps.

I have noticed that my watchman goby doesn't look as healthy as he did when I put him in. The last week, his top fin has been down all the time. You can notice in the picture that his fin used to always stand up. Is this a sign of him being sick or intimidated?

I read somewhere that saltwater fish don't keep their dorsal fins up the way that freshwater fish do, so it's often not a good indicator of health. It was on the homepage of my LFS though, so I wonder how reliable that info is.

Fin down is a sign of stress in my book. Any fish I ever had that eventually died showed signs of drooping fins first then an eventual demise. On the other hand I have had fish who had drooping fins at first, eventually revive and go on to live long lives.

your neon green algae is a type of macro called Neomeris annulata.

keep an eye on your starfish. with such a small system it could quickly decimate any pod population and starve to death.

The goby looks better today. His fin comes up when he swims around. My sand is still brown in places and the starfish looks to be doing fine. I will watch him though. It's not a very big one at all.

Are the hermits big? You could definitely put some more in there. I have an AP also and I have over 10 hermits. Some are little some are medium sized. Astrea snails are also very good cleaners of the glass.
