AP700 experience

anyone have any experiences with the AP700? I am debating about getting one over my new reefer 250. it will be a mixed reef. Will they grow sps? how is the controllability on them? will an Ipad2 work or does it need to be a newer version of the iPad?
Any input on this LED would be great.
