Apartment Reefer

Once I get a big enough tank this fish is on my list.

Great shots, buddy!

Good stuff, it is a very nice looking fish. There are some drawbacks though as some will kill shrimp and snails. I don't have and don't plan on having shrimp and mine did leave my snails alone until I added two fighting conchs to help keep the sand clean. He took interest in the conchs and will sometimes flip them over but he hasn't killed them yet. But now he is more interested in all the snails. I keep him well fed so hopefully he will continue to leave them be.

Awesome set up. This is the kind of setup pretty much exactly I want to set up at some point once I get out of college. Look forward to following this.

Thank you!

It's looking great, subscribing for more updates!

Thanks!

I'm still trying to decide what I want to do for supplemental lighting. It's either going to be 2 Kessil A360's on my Apex or 2 Kessil A150w Deep Ocean Blue on just on/off timers. Since it's just supplemental lighting I'm not sure if I want to spend the money on the A360's and the Apex module, but I'm also not sure if the 150's will be enough light. Help me! Lol.

As far as coral, I'm currently in the market for some nice SPS. I'm just trying to find the best person/place to my order with. I also need to loan a par meter to see how much light the tank is getting. Needless to say I'm very happy the tank after about 3 months now is algae free, stable and ready for coral.

If you get the 150s you will eventually want the 360s because of the control factor and wondering if they are just that much better. So hold out and just get the 360s and the module. You do it eventually anyways...or at least thats how it seems to work for me.

Sorry for the lack of posts. The tank went through a long cycle so there wasn't much to post on. Plus I did want to take it slow to ensure stability before adding coral. Right now it's just my clowns and melanurus wrasse in the tank. I also have some snail in as well. Being as the tank is now coral ready I will start to begin to fill it up and will be much more active on the thread. I will add some pictures later today.

No coral yet, but I will start adding some this week.

I used an underwater epoxy made my loctite.

Thank you!

I'll have some new pics today. =)

I'm just wondering if this is the product you used? I've been searching for a good epoxy, but the reef-safeness of them always comes into question. Did you have any issues with the product at all?
