Apartment RODI Unit

I have the refurbed 90gpd spectrapure and love it. Just replaced filters as we have terrible sediment problems. Filter looked brand new when I bought it 2 years ago and it still looks and works like new.

Ahhh, yes, excellent point haha. But, you haven't truly lived until you've flooding your kitchen a couple times with the RO/DI wide open. Luckily, mine is pretty predictable and I set a timer for my 5 gallon jug fills. I just have to remember NOT to leave my place when I start filling.

Hehe...I hook mine up in the tub so if it overflows, no big deal. It just goes down the drain.

Don't choose an RODI unit based upon what hardware is included to tap into your plumbing! All those fittings are very common and inexpensive and if you deal with a reputable dealer they will get you squared away with the right fitting.

+1 - The guys over at BFS are the way to go, they always take great care of me from getting the initial unit to replacing the filters / media!

I also use my waste water for laundry and watering plants. Great way to reduce the total true waste being created. Plus the plants love water that doesn't have all those chemicals in it and clothes get cleaner without all that sediment.

I have read from several people on RC that the cheaper RO/DI units produce more waste water and less useable water and the filters run out quicker. IMO its best to buy quality, the prices is not all that different.
