was able to get it working with my ac3 and apex. unistalled and reinstalled. not sure if that did it. but it seems to be working. using a thc thunderbolt. once in a blue moon i will get a force close when the app is launched. again thanks for the time you spent on the app.

running samsung continuum with 2.2.2...getting immediate FC also...
double and triple checked settings...works fine with older "apex" app...

hotrod, insomniac has a condition with ICS-tablet where it force-closed even if the preferences were blank which confirms it is totally unrelated to the comm with the Apex.
When does yours force-close?
BTW, I pushed a quick update for the Notes capability. Trying to figure out how the 3rd party app works. Now you can enter notes and retrieve them. I will work that more soon.

mine FC's when i try to connect to the controller...immediately..
i can enter all the credentials, no prob..but when i try to connect it immediately FC's, vibrates.. etc...
im using the exact same credentials as the apex app uses..
i even tried going local only, no avail...
could it be a wireless thing? i didnt try with the wireless off...

The notes thing is a neat idea HeneryH.
Latest app still FC on launch. Updated or fresh install yields the same results on my ICS tab. When i get bored, ill install a different ICS rom on it and give it a try as well.
That wont be for 3 or 4 days though. I'm a bit tied up right now.
This app still works like a charm on my ICS phone though.
Screen scaling bug possibly?

Here is the latest news...
Just posted V 0.33 of AquaNotes which adds back the widget. After placing the widget on the desktop the preferences will pop back up. Regardless of whether you are doing a new one or existing one you will need to scroll to the bottom and hit 'save.' This step links the widget to the controller.
I've been burning the extra cycles trying to get the AquaNotes app back to at least the core capability of the Apex app but in a format friendly to both phones and tablets.
I'm going to let this version of AquaNotes bake a bit with users and slow down a bit for general clean-up. At some point shortly I will deactivate the download of the Apex app.
Please let me know of any problems with the app. I am aware of the screen flicker problem when trying to pinch-zoom the graphs.
Here are my near term plans:

After working through the 10 steps back to get 1 step forward pains, I am moving on to some more fun stuff.
I could use some help with graphic design and layout.
What do you think should be done with some of these screens? I am more of a mechanic than a designer

for the tablet dashboard could you have the panel be user selectable? Graphs newest livestock photo or full tank shot? same for sub apps for each controller or tank livestock or tank shot?
Then in the live stock mode can you connect time delay shots 1 month ago 2 months ago exx to track coral fish growth?

Ok im new at this also, got an evo on sprint, netgear router, downloaded both apps i found on the marketplace and both kinda force close themselves when messing with it or opening the app. can someone please post a step by step process on how to get this working ?
