Yes, will
optional probe modules (PX 1000, and our new AquaBus modules PM1, PM2, PM3),
you can have multiple pH, temp, and ORP probes.

So yes you can control two separate systems.

Can you detail what the specs will be for the quoted modules PM1, PM2, PM3?

I can't seem to find this info on the neptune site!

For the record, I'm in no huge rush to get the Apex. You guys can make sure it works before I get mine. :D I'll even accept mine at the tail end of August. ;)

I'm with you Paul! The controller looks great and we all know how reliable Neptune Systems products are...but I'll let you guys work out the "kinks" before a put the tank at risk (no offense Curt - I know you're testing this like crazy - I'm just paranoid of brand new stuff).

No guts no glory. This will be my first controller so I am hoping all goes well. I sure wont be leaving town till it has been running a few weeks.

Well, it's easy for me to say, especially since I gots no display tank up and running. :D

Any Status updates on the release progress?
Per the last info posted by Curt, things are on track to start shipping next week.

Does the Apex support "generic" X-10 ? I am running my system now using plug-in X10 receivers and would like to continue to use these as opposed to the powerbars.

The Apex supports the same X10 connections as previous Neptune controllers, if you are connecting using an existing AC system the Apex will work the same way. Not sure what you mean by "generic X10".

Right now I am using an Aquadyne Octopus Controller that uses an X-10 Powerline module to switch off/on my equipment. Each piece of equipment is plugged into an X-10 plug in type receiver module that receives the on/off X-10 commands from the controller. The receiver modules are Leviton X-10 Appliance Module receivers.

So my question is can the Apex be used with a generic Powerline module and generic X-10 receivers? (By generic I mean off the shelf (like Leviton) X-10 Powerline transceivers and X-10 plug in Appliance Module receivers.)

Do you ever have reliability problems? When I was using X10s with my ACII occassionally they wouldn't turn on and off properly...I'd have to unplug them for awhile then plug them back in. I was happy to move up to the power bars.

Come on...I can't wait...passed on a screamin' deal on an RKE with Net because I've decided on the APEX...just waiting to see a few people give it a test drive first.

Generation 1 VorTech

Generation 1 VorTech

Will the Apex be able to vary speed on the generation 1 vortech pumps?
Thanks,
Mike

Yes, but I fixed this with:

1. X10 Bridge/Amplifier in my circuit panel. I did not connect the the bridge up to the 2 phases but instead only use it on one phase( the one with all my fishroom equipment )solely to amplify the X10 signal. This fixed everything that is controlled in my fishroom (chiller, heater, kalk stirrer, etc)

2. For the MH lamps over my display tankI had issues with reliability. I fixed this by a redundant setting for ON and OFF. So I turn the lights ON and then 15 minutes later, I turn the same lights ON. If for some reason the lights did not turn on the first time, the second time turns them on. Same for OFF function.

I like the X10 because my fishroom is remote from my tank so I can still control my lights without running cables through the walls from my fishroom.

Yes they will work if they use the x10 protocol.

That's what I am trying to ascertain from Neptune: Does the Apex implement the generic X10 protocol that will work with any X10 receiver/powerline transmitter OR is the X10 protocol that is implemented a proprietary version that only works with Power Bars?
