Apex Jr and humidity

I posted this in the equipment forum, but I trust you guys more, so I'm double-posting...

I need to clean up my setup a bit, and a big part of that is dealing with my Apex gear and all the associated wires. I'm considering installing a shelf in my stand above my sump and putting everything there, but I'm concerned about humidity. Should I be?

FWIW, I've got a pretty standard setup - display tank, custom 2x4 stand with sump. The shelf would be as tight to the top of the stand/bottom of tank as I could get it. I've got an Apex JR with 3 Energy Bars and a few small modules.

Any concerns about moisture/humidity? Thanks gang.

I've had all my apex stuff mounted upside down in the stand above the sump with the control on the door for 3-4 years - back of sump is open. no issues to date, though away from the tank is very preferable.

All our apex gear have been in a utility room for the last few years where humidity was high, Apex modules still going strong with no issues .

Install a couple 12V PC fans in your cabinet. Problem of humidity solved.

I've had mine this way for 2 years with no problems as of yet. No sign of rust anywhere either.

Another vote on the fans. They do not even need to run all the time either or you just use a simple humidity controller to trigger them.

My basement has a vent fan and can be turned on if the humidity gets too high, so something like that can work.
