Apex Jr Controller Connecting to Wifi

Hello. I have a small 20 gallon tank and I'd like to get a controller mainly for 2 things: be able to control my heater via temperature probe and have the ability to check in on my tank from my phone. I know the Apex Jr has the least functionality, but it's closer to my price range and as long as I can connect it to my wifi and get access Apex Fusion then I'd love to buy it.

I know the Apex Jr doesn't connect wirelessly, but I have this: http://www.computersoftwareplus.com...HE0Q8opLDEvigZBRJNDE4bwNHEEmKgx9JkhoC66Lw_wcB

It's a wifi access point. I believe I would be able to wire into the ethernet port of that device which already is on my wifi. Can you confirm that will give me access to Apex Fusion with the Apex Jr?

Thank you.

If there is any way possible I'd recommend running cat-5. Crawlspace, attic, whatever you have to do. Wireless just introduces another point of failure.

That being said, yes, an Airport express in "bridged" mode would work fine. Just be sure to choose "connect to a network" not "extend a network" in the airport utility.

I can't confirm that particular device, but I'm doing exactly what you're talking about, albeit with a different wifi extender. It's worked fine for me, though based on Neptune's suggestions, I've never updated my Jr.
