APEX network connection issue

I disconnected my Apex controller for a month while moving my tank around and now Im trying to reconnect it the way it was working before(with the same settings) its not working. Im a bit confused, I using a netgear 3700.
When I access the router, every once in a while when I click view attached devices I can see the address for the apex but only once in a while. I can ping the address from .cmd at any time, I've tried to log into the APEX through a wired connection(when the Apex device shows up on the router) and nothing happens.
All information on the apex display screen match my information. Is there something I have missed?? I can't even get the apex to work with DHCP mode on. I can get the apex to talk to the router and the router does assign a IP but the apex only stays connected for about a min. It will show up on the router attached device list for the first time I view it but not the second, third, ect.... but i can still ping it from .cmd????

Another route, I just set the apex to DHCP off, resest it, new Ip 192.168.1.210, New Ip can be pinged from cmd prompt, but doesn't show up on my router nor can I access my apex through web.??

I have connected to the apex with telnet using Ip address generated with DHCP off and on.
I have played around with reserved Ip, static and port forwarding options in the past but all those settings are now set to default. I haven't had the chance to upload the new software for the apex yet, still running4.04 -2B11. I have downloaded it to my computer but need a working network line to communicate first.

If anyone could help me out it would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Jason

You might get better responses if you post this in the Neptune forum towards the bottom of the page. Very helpful in there.
