Apex power consumption

Working out my power grid for tank rebuild and I need to know how much to leave for an Apex control unit/display. I wouldnt think it would be much but figure I should probably get facts instead of guessing. Less than 1 amp?

Will have base unit/display with 2 eb8s, 3 led lunar sim and breakout box.

Will be running 44 Cree LEDs from the base unit v1/v2 v3/v4 through Meanwell 48D drivers.

I left 16 Amps for each EB8 and appropriate amps for LED drivers.

What about Lunar sim with 3 leds? Does that draw from the Apex or have its own cord? Power consumption?

Thanks,
Carl

The base module itself runs on less than 500ma, so 1/2 amp. Everything else runs off its own power connection to an energy bar or in some cases like a Tunze or Vortech power head, can run straight off a wall outlet. With 15a allocated per energy bar, you're in good shape.

Thanks! Thats what I figured but wanted confirmtion just to be sure. The one thing I wasnt real sure about since I dont have one yet was wether the Lunar sim had its own power cord or drew power off the apex.

I was wondering the same thing as I was calculating the consumption costs.
Just keep forgetting to mention it here. Thanks for the clarification.

The lunar sim and apex base unit/display don't consume enough power to even worry about them... under 10 watts combined, I believe. That 500ma is at something like 12v. :)

The current lunar sim does have its own power adapter. I believe that an AquaBus version will be out shortly, which will likely be bus powered.
