Apex screen blank then off for good

i came home to my apex with nothing but a blank blue screen...after a day like that i unpluged it and now it doesnt work at all. The functions still work correctly but i get now screen at all....buttons dont do anything either?

You can try updating the display firmware and see if that will being things back to life. You can do this from the webpage but a word of caution; be patient, it takes about a minute to flash th display so just leave the status screen for a few minutes before assuming the flash didn't work. Then disconnect the display, wait a few seconds and connect it back.

can i plug an ethernet cord into the apex and then into my laptop to do that?? and what do i type into the bar to access the apex??

What Ken is describing is done from the web pages, the Module Setup page to be precise. At the top of the page, there's an 'update firmware' button.
