Apex vs apex jr

Well i need one on my new tank at home and wanted to get some ideas before i spent too much money on apex. I really dont need to control all the stuff like i normally did at my office. So my issues is the apex jr does not come with ph probe. I really only need it for ph prob, temp prob , control 1 heater and fuge light and autotop off pump so maybe the 4 outlet would work vs 8 outlet. I do need to add an break out box for auto top off but i know that does not come with either,

whats your thoughts

I would go with the apex as with almost everything in this hobby you always wish you went bigger or you do an upgrade.

The big acrylic tank? If so, hands down the full apex. Like Eddie said, you'll be wishing you got the full down the road.

I just bought a apex jr 2 weeks ago. I have it on a 60 gallon cube. I don't know much about the hobby but what I can tell you that this thing is awesome. When I spoke to them they said on a 60 gallon reef this system is more than enough. When I master this tank and turn my 210 gallon from just fish into reef then I will purchase the full blown apex.

I'd go with the full apex.

I have the apex jr now only because I paid 85-100 can't remember which (without display).

But...even on my relatively simple system, I want the full apex.

That ph meter is important now that I want SPS and will be dosing regularly.
