apparently camel shrimp are not reef safe

Lol I don't know how I missed that info. I've had 2 for a year and the large one is over 3 inches now. Never had a problem before, but now I'm noticing a few zoas are missing. I'm thinking they might be the culprit. One is already in the sump.

I like my peppermints so I'll just get more of those... or maybe blood shrimp.

Anyway, has anyone else had camel shrimp in their reef this long? From what I'm reading I'm surprised I didn't lose my mushrooms and Xenia long time ago.
 
wow, i'm impressed you still have any coral left with camels in there! the buggers are cute, but they eat coral like none other. you mustve kept them really well fed or something
 
Camels are great for aiptasia control but once those are gone it's on to something else,

I got three out of my tank by actually putting a pocillipora colony in a net and they went right in after it... the ones I had went nuts for those and would pull every polyp right out in seconds flat
