April CARC Meeting

I have never been to a central Al. meeting in its current state. I attended a few a year or two ago and all of those folks seem to have quit participating around here. I will have a table in Montgomery with Ramses66 and I hope he and I can do the B`ham swap. He and I live in the Pell City Talladega area. so we are kinda stuck in the middle. I as well as Ramses have been to and met some of the No. Al. folks. I was trying to participate and get going with the ears group (east Al) with shawn at valley and that never worked out. All of that said, I am a reefer without a home. I dont see doing Mont. Sat. and then spending a day away from family on Sun. but if you all will allow us to we would like to have a table at the bham swap.
PS. I AM IN NO WAY RETAIL AND I DO NOT INTEND TO SELL OR OFFEND. PLEASE DO NOT THROW ME TO A BETTER SITE.

Mebo, props on getting the B-ham swap going for June 6. Brandon thanks for organizing the location. This will be a great topic for discusion at the CARC meeting next Sunday. I'm sure you guys will need volunteers. Hopefully, there will be a good turnout at our April CARC meeting. If there is anything I can get anyone in Montgomery let me know. Plan on hitting that Brew Pub afterwards if anyone wants to come along.

Freddy, Cafe? Is this the new place on Main Street across from Braden's?

I want to start to get a head count. Who is coming to my his-ouse on Sunday for CARC? I see Brandon, Paul, Mercury and maybe mebo.
 
I don't think that I willl be able to make it or if I do it will only be for a few minutes. The wife is going out of town and she is taking the baby but leaving the 5 year old with me. His attention span is way to short for me to do something that does not interest him for long.:lol:

I will have to wait and see how things go that morning. I might can bribe him with McDonalds and the McWain Center.
 
Doesn't sound like we're going to have alot of turn out this time. We will be grilling some wings for about 10 people. What can you guys bring?
 
Directions and let me know what might be needed. I did get the Jan/Feb issue of Coral I can bring if anyone wants to check it out.
 
I can bring some drinks or paper products, just let me know what is needed. I will need directions. I won't be able to stay long because I have my 5 year old this weekend but I will try and stay for a little while. I have a small rock with Pom Pom Xenia on it, it has about 13 heads and looks like a couple of more are fixing to sprout that someone can have if they want it.

Coming from 59 take the Trussville/Pinson exit and turn onto Chalkville Mt Rd. Depending on the direction turn towards trussville and away from Wal-Mart. Pass McDonald's Wendy's and Taco Bell come to the red light at Poplar St on the left (do not turn). GO THROUGH the light and take the next left onto Pine Street and we are the 2nd house on left.

Coming from 459 take the Trussville Hwy 11 exit. Turn onto Hwy 11 towards Trussville, pass the Pinncale on your left (Target) and go about 3 miles, pass Winn-Dixie on your right, keep going until you get to Braden's Furniture on your left and take a left at light onto Chalkville Mt Rd. Keep going and look for Oak Street on your right. We are the next right, but the sign is covered by a tree. Take a right on Pine Street and we are the 2nd house on the left. If you pass the light on Poplar Street you have gone too far.

Looks like we need Chips and desserts.
 
Great meeting today, thank Lauren for the hospitality. You have a loverly home and you tank looks great. I think we got allot accomplished in the planning of the swap.

I will talk to the wife about hosting the next meeting. I will start another thread about it when I can figure out a date. I would think that keeping it on Sunday's @2:00 would be best. I am thinking maybe a week or two before the swap, we can use the meeting to finalize plans and tie up last minute details.
 
Crap! I had a bad headache and crashed on the couch while the girls were out and when they woke me up the meeting was over!
 
That is what I was thinking. I should have an answer to hosting by the end of the day tomorrow. We can us this meeting to finalize anything that needs doing for the swap. If you need any help with the swap, let me know.
