Ok I will plan a huge mix then. I made the big bag of myasis ($20 size) and other things and had about 3/4 of a regular blender full if that makes sence. I had about 6 bags that lasted about a month + a bag. I will dig up some recipies today for input, real buisy today so it will be late.
1st question is does anyone want some oily fish added? Like salom for the fatty acids? I didn't because I dummped in some selcon for fats last time but a filet of salmon would be cheaper!! (If you all want it)

How many fish did you have to feed with using 6 bags? If that's the case, I might need more then 3 bags....

Mikeyjer, My fish load has varied over the past 6 months a lot so I dunno the answer. I would guess a bag the thickness I would make would be equivalent to about 2.5-3 cards of the cube stuff......and dependes on how heavy you feed and how often :)

I got today.....
*2 lbs of myasis
*1 lb of enriched brine
*1 lb of krill (we can leave some bigger hunks if anyone getting food had larger carnivors or some type of bottom dwellers) The smaller from of krill is called "plankton", I learned that today.
*8 oz squidd
*8oz cuttle fish (have no idea if we can add this yet but it looked good today at the asian food store!
*4 oz salmon I personally would like to add a little oily fish for vitamins but can chop mine and add to mix later.
*1lb shrimp
*seaweed sheets
*cyclopeez
*veggie pellets
*garlic
*liquid vitamins and amino acids
*? Ciklid chow? from nashvegas?

If anyone wants to add stuff just LMK
This should make a huge pot of yummy and stinky food. I will slow thawed and have it all rinsed by Sat. to blend and distribute. We will have to just see how many bags we end up with and divide the $ per bag cost to be fair. I will have a list of my expenses. I can keep a lot or a llittle as long as I have about 6 bags.

I feed veggie flake or reef plus flake in the AM and this meaty blend at night for a little for everyones health. I am not planning any added coral only food like liquid snow just for cost reasons. I will add ample amounts of freeze dried cyclopeez for coral food if that sounds fine. You can stir in a ingrediant easy enouph at home if you would like before freezing!

So... What size pants do I need to be able to walk out of there with an obscured 180:D? At least my pockets won't be wet this time;).

Can't make the meeting (I'm On-Call :(), but if anyone want's to bring home some mush for me, I'm in for any cost involved!
Sohal Tang arriving on Thursday, I'm sure he/she/it will want at least some of this. Gosh, a big tank is fun!!! At least that's what I keep telling "Lisa", I'm not sure weather she see's through this or not.
Just let me know how I can help without attending, and I'll do it!
Sorry Angela.

Rick

We should have plenty of mush to go around if someone will bring you some. Any input on what else to add since you have made it before? All my fish go nuts over this stuff!

we are going to try and come, Angela....we have been so busy lately with the girls and their dance studio with recital coming up....but we are going to try....can't wait to see the monster tank!!

Hey all,
I am currently in Washington state doing an internship....so I won't be able to make this meeting! Hopefully I'll be able to make the next one in May! :(
Sorry Anegla, I really wanted to come and see your fishies!
:)
I did have time to check out some fish stores here....one specializes in reef aquariums and another was a hole in the wall place that was scary to enter! There is also a nice one in Tacoma and many in Seattle....I might check them out before I go home. Olympia, WA is one of the places I am thinking on going to for my 3 year Family Medicine residency program...we'll see.
Have fun at the meeting. Good luck with your humongo tank Angela!!!
:)

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed the number of our club members that are in medicine. I say we can the club (for now) and start an out-patient surgery center. After "Fishdoc" get's his licence, we can expand into animal out-patient work as well. Bet we could use FORENSIC'S house for OR space, and the tank room would be great for a waiting area (that way he can write off all his house building expenses). :D
Too our advantage with this arrangement, any procedures we screw up, Forensic is there to prove it was not our fault!
I say we put a -22 modifier on all insurance bills, then our profits could be split up among club members to be spent on "Reef's"
Is this forward thinking or what!
Oh yea, now we need a CPA, to back us up in billing!

Too bad I never went on with Accounting, it was wayyy too boring for me...My sister did it though, can't believe she went that direction, never thought she would like doing that stuff....Same with her husband.....

well you are in luck I am an Accountant and work in the Department of health so not only can we have the books done I will get everyone exempt from paying for the license.

OK, so the EMT's do a pick up service for our patients, they can start the IV's, and we are good to go when they hit the door!
Just need to hear from "Forensic", so we can modify his building plan, then were off to the races!
Sorry Angela, I'll give back your thread now :p

Rick

Angela,

Sorry I will not be able to make your meeting this month.

MDWannabe, We do not need to use my house for a surgery center. My office is more than able to handle that. We are a BSL-3 facility (for those who are not into initials BSL stands for Bio-safety level). The only higher level facilities in this country are at the CDC or the military. Sterile collection of tissues for donation are routinely performed in my office. If you are interested in taking a virtual look, you can take a look at:

Have a great meeting and I hope to make the meeting in May.

Maybe we should move the meet to your office forensicdoc! Both my kids and my hubby are down sick! I have dodged the bullet so far and hopefully and the germs will be gone by Sat. night!! I will clean everything good before company just to be safe.
