Hey guys, I have a mild Aptasia outbreak in my tank...should I introduce a racoon butterfly to get rid of the aptasia, or is that a big no no because of the other corals in the tank?

Peppermint shrimp are ideal for "mild" outbreaks. It's when people have hundreds that, surprise, a couple peppermints don't get rid of them in a week :D

I had to use peppermint shrimp in my nano that was well over grown. They were amazing and took care of the voracious coral killers in no time. very surprising to a skeptic. I guess just follow the preceding advice.

Sometimes peppermints cannot keep up if you have a massive outbreak. If you do, then kill all that you can see with Joes Juice or Kalk - the peppermints can keep up from then on.

go with nudibranch oraptasia x i had serious problem while back and had 4 pepermints in there nudibranches took the rest

I've had them eat both large and small. Truly one of the best bio-solutions for apitasia in my experience. However, they won't eat mojono aptasia if that's your problem.

The guy at the LFS told me to boil some water, and inject the water with a needle/syringe into the aptasia. It worked on the larger ones...but the smaller ones are a little harder to get at.
