The best thing I found for Aptasia is a pickling lime paste. I bought it at Wal-Mart for $3.00, make a paste out of it, put it in a syringe and apply it directly to the Aptasia,
This will burn it out and the pickling lime is good for the tank.
the only thing with picking lime is there's always a small polyp of aptasia somewhere that will spread, inbetween rocks and under rocks. i had to keep on injecting every time i saw more. just my experiance.
just get some peppermint shrimp! I just got 3 of them for my 75gallon and I cant find any more aptasia polyps! they started right away that night when i put them in!
If you use kalk paste (aka pickling lime) be sure to siphon out the tissue.......otherwise they WILL spread. The paste literally disintegrates them but leaves tissue that will float away if you don't catch it. Next thing you know you will have little aptasia growing everywhere (unfortunately.....speaking from experience).
I personally found that some peppermints from AT work the best. Had 4 or 5 that cleared my tank in 2-3 weeks. Even ate the very large ones. My tank has been aptasia-free ever since. IMO, go with the peppermints.
