Aquabacs' Cadlights Artisan 50 Azooxanthellae Tank build

How about the aquabacawesome flowering carnation of awesomenessphylia :D

-Dave

P.S - If you have any small ones when my tank is going I'll scoop one up for sure!

I hadn't even thought of that
But your right I hate all those crazy names, no way I'm going to call a dendro "beef cake" or "blowpop"

You wont see me naming any except for what they actually are :)

Thanks Dave! Need to watch out...a few guys might hire you out to start naming their stuff :)

Dave we will see how all the cuttings do and we will work from there ;)

Finally packed up the Profilux to get sent out to Progressive to get upgraded to P3, going to drop it off after work today. Once I get it back then I can start to have some fun. Unfortunately I knew this was going to happen...once I got the controller, I would get hooked, and have a new added obsession ;)

uh oh next thing you're gonna get an aqua illuminations so you can play with storm settings and all that... oh BTW I know of a gen1 unit for sale for a good price if you're interested :)

The fridge setup looks clean. I am going to pick up a fridge today. I think I can fit it behind the elos so it won't look too obtrusive. I also have a magnetic stirrer coming tomorrow. With these hot temps my food has been going bad within 4 hours and is warm to the touch by 6 hours. Not good for the tank at all! I'm broke but this is something I have to do if I want to keep my animals alive. Even the wine cooler I've been using to keep SD cool has been struggling to keep temps below 60.

Thanks Mike, when you have a chance PM me on the AI ;) The frig is the way to go, wish I did it sooner than did. I feel more comfortable with the feeder dosing the refrigerated Reef Nutrition foods thoughout the day. Spoilage issue is taken out of the picture and dosing can be monitored more accurately. I have also considered adding a automatic cleaning skimmer head (Avast) to help with keeping the skimmer free of build-up. The skimmer cup is cleaned every night and it is amazing the amount of build-up in just a few hours. The Bubble Magnus skimmer rocks! The skimmer is well worth its price and probably one of the best bang for the buck purchases I have made in this hobby.

Mike check out NR in the classifieds there is a guy selling a module.

I just picked up a frigidaire compact fridge from Lowes for $129. It's the real deal not a thermoelectric unit. The wine cooler I have now is unable to deal with the higher temps. In the winter it works great though.

I've thought about getting the AVAST swabbie too. I'm sure I eventually will...

Thanks. Checked it out, he is selling it for about 100 to much for a gen 1. Price of upgrading a gen 1 to gen 2 + it is used.

Best of luck with the frig, drills out quick with a metal hole saw bit ;)

For the price of the AVAST swabbie you really cant go wrong compared to the cost of other self-cleaning heads out there. Set it up on a timer and forget about it.

Mike did you plug your fridge directly into the wall? I was reading the instructions and it says it has to be plugged directly into the wall. That will be a challenge with where the tank is located right now. Once I move the elos it will be fine but I need a temporary solution.

You can put it on an extension cord, just use a 14g and not a 16g and keep the run short. All refrigerators will say that, even ones pulling .25 amps

Mike (Uhuru) if you need hole saws to drill the fridge let me know I have every size from 1/2" to 2 1/4 " and any size drill bit in between also

Thanks I have a few different hole saws and drill bits I'm still figuring out how I want to do it. I'm probably going to move my elos mini next to the ADA sooner than planned and plumb it the way its going to be in its permanent position.

I'm using it to feed all 3 tanks:) I set up a small chamber in the sump where the return pump sits and where the food will be dosed into. The return pump feeds all 3 tanks.
