Aquabacs' Cadlights Artisan 50 Azooxanthellae Tank build

Thanks!

At that moment, I just finish my Saturday 25% water change, tossed a block of frozen mysis in and the vortech was on feed mode. There wasn't too much food in the water column at the time.

Thanks for the suggestion! I have looked at that being one of the available options but I question the actual size needed to efficiently lower phosphates in a non-photosynthetic aquarium. Now, if I had the space to experiment with running an a extremely large scrubber, I would try it out. For the time being; it will be water changes, carbon dosing and GFO to keep the phosphates under control.

Let me tell you why it pays to be observant. How many people have checked out the flip video Greg has posted up in the Aquatic Technology RC sponsor section? You should check it out. I watched the complete video and saw something that caught my interest, then made a phone call. So, if you have a chance, watch the video, and guess what I saw :) Besides supporting your LFS, supporting RC sponsors, are important as well. Check their sections often and try to build a good repport with them. If there is something you are looking for don't be afraid to ask them.

Mike, that is why you are the man. Its good to know that they are good to deal with. We need to cultivate some sources of Azoox animals. There is not enough of them willing to take the chance. With the new foods, feeding methods and interest we need to convince a few retailers we are here to stay.

Your too funny Don. I will post the video over here but it is the 9 minute mark that caught my eye. This past weekend I was at Greenwich Aquaria for their big fall sale and my stock up of Reef Nutrition foods. Jason brought in a few bad a@@ sea pens. These guys were giant! They are now in deep bed of the show tank and look sweet. Something to add to the list of wants in my next tank...deep bed section for sea pens.

That is correct Matt. I am still waiting for a particular species to come in but there are 3 beautiful ones Greg brought in at a price I could not refuse.

Don, once I have them for a month or so, know that they are eating well and doing ok, then we can talk. I would also shoot Greg over a message that you are interested in some next batch that come in. He is a nice guy and he will hook you up.

Good thing he extended the sale so I can maybe get something when I arrive :)

FWIW Mysis-Feast will be on the shelves at HoF (and any store that order them) this week and on sale next weekend :D

He has selling stuff like crazy last weekend and should be another great week as well. Sure he would open the store early for you. Will the big bottles of MF (not sure if that is a good abbreviation :D) be ready this weekend? I can see the marketing now...are your corals and fish hungry...give them some of this...MF. Only cool if Samuel L Jackson says it.

The sucky thing is we have an MF... Macro-Feast... We had to use Mysis as the acronym for Mysis-Feast for our internal purposes.

16 and 32oz labels are coming this week but they won't be on the shelves at the sale as I think I pick them up just before I leave for NY

Ooooh, me too. :lol2:

Do you have an email for Greg?

Hmmm, let me know. Can't seem to find them locally, or anywhere for that matter. I had a diver hook me up with some Caribbean ones but they did not make the transport. Now that I have the feeding system I want one. My last one lasted almost a year and a half feeding by hand.

Well, we will just have to call it MY-F.:)

Don, sent you over a PM ;) Check it out.

Few days to go...big event at House of Fins, crazy sale continuing at Greenwich Aquaria, and the following weekend Manhattan Reefs fall frag swap. Thank God I have an understanding wife :) One of the few set of weekends out of the year that are not booked with family functions, parties, birthday, or home projects.
