No problem, Austin. I have been working on acquiring a 4th fish to my collection but I have been running into road blocks of collection and bringing it into the country.

Today, I have acclimating a few small crinoids I picked up from Greg @ Aquatic Technology (RC sponsor).

Nice I always enjoy looking at you tank. If you ever get bored I would like to see it in full flow. I often wonder about how different flows looks and work.

Thanks! I will see what I can do in the future. When I took the video my main return pump was on and my vortech was in feed mode.

What I want to make a recording of next is the polyps catching red cyclop-eeze.

Thanks, Moses! I really like to video format. It helps show off the aquarium from a different perspective. I have a lot to learn still of all the functions in my camera and about basic video editing.

Thanks!

The black one pictured is the largest of the 4 I picked up from Greg. The other 3 are small and olive colored. This species of crinoid is very hardy and does well in our type aquariums.

Marty,

There is few rare deepwater fish I have been looking for so it it a waiting game. One of them I could get in now but it was going to cost me about 2500. For corals I am not really looking for anything unless something truely unique non-photosynthetic coral comes into the country. Also I am looking for a bright yellow, fine feathered crinoid.

Mike

Hey Mike have you ever exposed your crinoids to air, and if so were there any negative consequences? I am going to be moving my tank across the room soon and will probably need to empty it at least 75%. I'd rather not force my crinoid off of its rock, but if I don't it could be exposed to air for a few minutes.

Oh yeah and these fluorescent crinoids are just amazing!

I have exposed them to air but never for any long period of time. Worst case senerio if you stress them a little to much they will drop some arms but they will grow back.

West African Gorgonians

West African Gorgonians

I have been working on revising my aquascaping today. I was able to aquire a few West African gorgonians. All seem to be the same species, just different color variations. There are a few spots that were damaged in shipment but they will grow gack in no time.

A shifting of corals here and there, this is now the re-scaped lower half of my aquarium.
