Profilux & my netbook set-up

Ian, I have 2 of them. There is a video up on my.tube page of it.One for a few months and the other I picked up this weekend. The one I picked this Saturday is planned to be cut up, we will see how that goes :)

I'm all for fragging dendros and scleros. Smaller size = easier to provide their energy needs and give them a chance to adapt to a captive environment before starving to death.

nice! :D I'm sure you'll keep us posted on the process and progress.

I'd love to see some action pix ;)

Same concept Mike. I started with a few 1/4" - 1/2" branches and working from there.

that's some crazy flow in the dendronephtea video. :eek1:

Thanks! That is one of my issues with the cuttings...finding a place to keep them until they root/attach. Found a few locations though.

Hey Mike i was wondering if maybe you could show a pic of the spot where u drilled the fridge?,and did you seal it up or?. What did you do for the vaccum problem?

I will look to see if I have some pics on my card. I did not seal around the pvc piping but there is no issue with the temperture rising above 38.

Power went out earlier today and I got to try out my new toy :) I was able to negotiate with my co-op and they let me get a larger generator than planned...as long as it would be used for "emergency use only" and "fuel and generator are not stored" on my patio. So I got a 5500 watt Briggs and Stratton and it worked very well.

Power is back up now.

1st video of a series that I am doing to track the growth of Dendronephthya cuttings. This video was taken one day after the 1/2" cutting was removed. Today the piece looks better than when it was attached and greater than 1/2" expanded. (Vortech turned off while video was being taken)

There is actually a small rock slightly compressing the base so it does no fly away. There 3 other cuttings in my tank too that are in lower flow areas the areas these are not compressed. If they grow well, they will grow into a high flow area. Each of them will also be target fed besides the normal aquarium dosing.
