I just bought some items from them and their service and prices were good.

Don't be tempted to make a major purchase there. I bought a Vertex skimmer from them and when I plugged it in the pump made a HUGE noise... obviously a problem with the pump or impeller. I called them thinking they'd just send me a new pump. (that's what MD did when I had a problem with the Vertex calcium reactor I bought from them a few months earlier.) But they insisted that I return the BRAND NEW pump to them so they could check for signs of abuse before replacing it. After a few days and a half dozen pfone calls I finally convinced them that it was a bad impeller, but after all that hassle for something so simple I'll never buy from them again.
Lessons learned:
Vertex makes awesome products but couples them with poor pumps.
Don't buy expensive stuff from Aqua Cave.

i actually switched a few months ago to aquacave from MD, and I have no complaints. The service has been great, purchased MH reflectors, bulbs, temp controller - helpped a friend by a 6' marineland light, 60gal sump/fuge, and large octopus skimmer - - no complaints with anything.
my temp controller had a faulty probe, they sent me a whole new unit, with a return shipping label for the bad one, which i thought was nice. My main reason for switching was that they are closer, so basic shipping gets here faster.

I bought my skimmer with them and they seemed good to deal with. Faster shipping than Marine Depot IME and their prices are reasonable

I just bought a couple of things from them. I've been happy but I did order an AC jr. which was out of stock. They immediately called me to ask if I still wanted to keep it in my order (since I ordered other things) and then they called me again when it came in to see if I still wanted it. I thought that was considerate of them. A personal phone call instead of just an email.
But I also like to order from places that ship quick. Another great place to order from is Premium Aquatics.

I like them. I've gotten good pre-sales support from them, and recommend them.
