Aqualine 10000 vs. Iwasaki 15k

I've been contemplating making the switch from 175w Aqualine 10000 bulbs over to Iwasaki 15k.
Believe I've read just about every thread, but wanted to see if there's anyone out there that has some insight they can share?
This is over a 75 gallon mixed reef, though becoming more SPS.
I'm wondering if the improvement in PAR using electronic ballasts (1 Icecap, 1 Vertex) and Iwasaki bulbs justifies making the switch.....
The existing Aqualine bulbs are nearly brand new - less than two weeks use.
Any thoughts??

The obvious alternative would be moving to 250 or 400 watt ballasts and bulbs, but I'm wondering if I can be successful with either the two Aqualines or Iwasakis on a (I think 21") standard 75 gallon?? :hmm4:

I have used both bulbs although it has been a long time since I used the Aqualine Bushke 175 watt 10K. I remember it was somewhat yellow.

I did like the Iwasaki 175 watt 15K - a bright white bulb with a very little touch of blue.

Both need to be supplimented with actinic lighting such as T5 or T12.

Thanks Chris! I agree the Aqualine is a touch yellow, though not terribly so. I guess what I'm really wondering though - is the increase in PAR switching to the Iwasaki 15k worth it considering that I'm currently running the Aqualine 10000?

I know that for most bulbs the answer would be a definitive yes, but I think the PAR ratings on the Aqualine bulbs are pretty darn good. Basically I'm wondering if I should just use these until they are due for replacement THEN change over to the Iwasaki, or should I turn the Aqualines into spares and make the switch right now since I'm interested in getting more into SPS corals.....

Anyone else have suggestions?
