The two flashers (carpenters and mccoskers) are doing awesome, the foxface is just starting to take a bite here and there, he's been really shy and just starting to come out. The multi bar angel is still just eating pods but the QT has got to be running low, I have black worms and some pods coming but not till some time first of the week. Hopefully he can find enough food till then.

Little update, The Mitratus likes to nipple SPS here and there still but not to the point of too much damage. The QT isn't doing the greatest, I lost the foxface and the multibar refuses to eat anything more than pods. The two flashers are doing great though and Bluezoo gave me credit for the first angel and the third flasher.

Long as the SPS are healthy, I don't think that'll be a problem. Unless its in their natural diet, I've heard that butterflies or even angels, only eat SPS when it's not healthy. They mostly prune SPS unless as I've said earlier its part of their natural diet.

I agree, but they also need to be fed good or they will eat anything edible to make up for it. He's definitely made a couple of my corals not look as good as before but he's too cool of a fish not to tolerate.

Update:
I gave the Mitratus all my patience but he was just too destructive. He's gone to a 300 FOWLR now and for now the PE has returned haha. Two flashers are doing well in QT but the CB butterfly in with them has a small case of lympho so I'm gonna watch them all for a while just to be safe. My battle with bubble algae continues
, I hate this stuff. I'm also still having diatom issues, they've just never gone away since the initial setup, it's frustrating cause none of my other sand beds ever had this issue. I know not too exciting of an update but I'm still alive, haha,

Hope your corals make a full recovery! It is good to hear your QT is doing well, did you confirm that is was lympho on the CB? It is nice when it is not something you need to medicate/treat for immediatly.

Thanks Ed, the corals he ate luckily are the really hardy ones. I hope the Mitratus does well for you. I'm still not 100% on the diagnosis but one of the flashers is starting to show something on his tail too so I may treat with a anti bacterial/fungal just in case. Whatever it is Id like to get it nipped in the butt cause I have other fish on hold that need the space and I refuse to add anymore to QT until the mystery is solved.

the tank is looking great brett! love the earl's. I just saw one yesterday (well...6 of them) for the first time in person and the males are unbelievable! I'm seriously considering a pair but I think my new tank will be too small

Sorry the Mitratus didn't work out for you Brett. Hope you can get the fish in QT straightened around soon. The antibacterial/fungal sounds like a good plan. What do you have on hold? Anything special?

Thanks man, the Earls is an amazing fish and I'm not sure I could ever be without one again. They are on the larger size of fairies, you may be alright with a single male though.
Thanks, I miss him. He had a great personality and was a blast to watch. I had a Regal angel on hold but got word that he jumped and died yesterday so I'm waiting on another one. I also have a couple wrasses on hold, ill spill the beans when they actually make it here. I've had the worst luck with DOA's this year. The fish in the QT are eating and acting really great hopefully I can figure out the spots.

tank is really coming along brett,your light fixture looks amazing over the tank.
I to have some bubble algae issues,what ive been doin for that is putting some kalk paste over them and this seems to work .the paste turns the bubbles white and within a week the disappear.
I find a good food that helps a fish eat is white worms,just frozen cubes..i use it on my copperband and also other fish luv it to,i haven't tried blackworms ,im on the search for them.

Hey Vic, thanks a lot man. Ive been battling this bubble algae forever it seems. Ive never seen the white worms for sale locally but Ill look out for them. I love black worms but they are a real pain in the butt to keep, theyre basically something you have to get often and preferably in small amounts. The copperband is doing really well eating wise but has some lymphocytes and Im not too familiar with this disease. If anybody knows the facts about lymphocytes please do share.

There is no known cure for it either. I had it on a CBB last year and he was in my qt for about 4 months before it finally disappeared. Just make sure he is eating and it will eventually go away.
