Thank you so much, I have a really great list in my head that I cant wait to stock but I have to make sure the few I have left are first priority. Im still a wrasse nut and that will never change. Stay tuned!!!

Can't wait to see what kind of fish you put back in this wonderful tank. Totally understand about being 100% sure on the fish that you have left. Besides there are always a ton of nice fish available around Christmas time.

It is good to see the tank is growing in nicely. The corals all look extremely helathy and happy. Have you noticed your corals getting pale in color, or the colors being hard to maintain without fish in the tank? Doesn't really look like it in the pictures, but just curious if you were noticing symptoms of lack of nutrients from running fishless?

Thanks, no I havent noticed things getting too light. The hawkins in the pic above is a little light but Ive continued to dose vinegar at a reduced level and still do water changes bi-weekly. The only supplemental feeding Ive done for the corals is a little oyster feast but I try to keep that at a minimum cause Im trying to beat the red turf algae thats slowly taking over my rocks. Turbo snails seem to eat it but I havent really noticed them make a dent in it yet. I thought about urchins but I did'nt want them mowing over all the small frags, I do enough of that on my own.

Looks good, Brett ... Nice to see your perseverance/passion is unyielding, you're an asset to this community here and we would all be worse off if this unfortunate situation caused you to throw the towel.

Instead of dwelling on losses, how about informing what you skillfully were able to save, when the time is best :)

On a side note, try to tear yourself away from *R-2-R*, although it is another excellent online reef keeping community, every once in a while and join us "fanaticals" over here on RC

Come back with a vengeance, Brett ! Take care

Thanks buddy,

Here is my fish list as of today:
Blue tang
Lavender tank
Blue eye cardinal
Orange stripe prawn goby
Bangai Cardinal
Black occelaris clown (it hurt to lose my male)
Green mandarin dragonet

Though I do have different ties on the two forums I still spend about the same amount of time on each and I do love them both for different reasons. Im just a big fish guy and with recent events I havent really had a lot to talk about.

Hi Brett,
You are definately back with a vengeance :uzi:
Cant wait to see your new collection of fishes :)
One doubt...why take pics with the flash on? Photos under tank lighting without flash would definately give a more realistic and beautiful appeal to the corals you have.
Happy Reefing!!

Thanks RN, I'm used to taking fish pics more and no flash never worked for that but I don't think ive ever tried it with coral shots. I do another round and let you know how it goes, thanks for the tip.

OK RN these are for you with no flash. I completely agree with you that the colors come out better but I gotta get a tripod or all the macros are gonna be blurry. Here's what I got though.

Thanks Brett for the pics.
Pics looking beautiful more true to life colours now.
Yep for macros (if using SLRs and dedicated macro lens) tripod is a must. You can get awesome close ups. :)
Did ya see Kevin's (acronic) new camera goodies? It's kick buttowski :D
