ok well i was going to get the new oceanicbio cube but since it is now delayed until at least september I am going to get the 24 gallon aquapod. I have a couple of questions tho before i order it. Already plan on swapping out the fans and powerhead for 2 MJ 900's. has anyone added more PC's to thier stock hood? i see that nanotuners has a 4 x 36w setup for sale but i aint payin 500+ bux for it. And anyone that has added a second powerhead did you put it in the last chamber where the stock one goes? does it make the water level too low in the chamber? does the 4x36 watt lighting upgrade heat up ur water drastically? I want to keep the top and stuff as much lighting under it as possible. All help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

On my Aquapod 24 with just the 64 watt PCs and one MJ1200 my temp ranges from 78.2 with pump and no lights to 80.9 at the end of the daily light cycle. My house temp is a solid 72 where the tank is located. I did mod my fan by adding a Vantec stealth which is blowing out. I also took off the cover plate from the second fan slot hoping to get some better flow.

I know this doesn't answer your direct question but it gives you an idea of the heat with the stock lighting.

I'm not adding anymore light, but I did add a second MJ in the intake area plus a new bulkhead I drilled for it.
So it now has two pumps, I didn't want any powerheads inside the tank at all. Plus two new fans. Thats it for me on mods.
I didn't answer any of your questions either sorry.
