This is the most amazing store I have ever been too. Very impressive tanks and coral selection.... the best I have seen around in this area. Chris, the owner, is an awesome guy and is very knowledgeable. If you haven't been there yet do yourself the favor of stopping by, it will be well worth your time. It is right by the hospital on Hillview....

I stopped by the store yesterday after they had received a new shipment. I can't believe all the awesone stuff that Chris has and has access to --- way cool. He is packed to the gills with great stuff right now.
If you have not been there yet, it is definitely worth the trip from wherever you may be. I used to travel into Tampa to find a lot of the things I was searching for -- I now see them traveling down to Sarasota as I believe the store is better than anything available in Tampa - or anywhere else I have traveled to for that matter.

Gotta tell ya guys...yes,the selection of marine life at Aquarium Acrhitecture is most impressive.
However,in the few visits I've made,The Owner had been nothing but Rude and condescending.
He seems to convey the feeling that the his previous geographical location is somehow superior,which includes the customers.
He should take a lesson in customer service from James & Ray at Coral Connection,where the customers are treated with respect,and time is taken to listen and heck,even laugh at some of the things that happen to us in this hobby.
If the owner of of Aquarium Acrhitecture doesn't want the "hassle" of the walk-in customer,he should nail the front door shut,that way we wouldn't be fooled into thinking we're welcome.

hey- sorry to interrupt, my name is john and i have a nearly 5 month old 65. i met some of you at marine dreams a couple of months ago and wanted to join then but shortly thereafter i was blessed with a nitrate spike thats still at 40 ppm and a lush growth of hair algae. frustrating. can anyone relate? anyway i would like to join the club now but dont know what i have to do. fortunately the large green water box seems to be going along at least a little better now and i no longer want to just go back to africans. -so, how do my fiance and i join?

I have to agree with the guy that posted before. The guy I spoked to there seemed very high on himself and his store. I wasnt empressed with his knowledge on things.and prices are way to high. Hell I asked him if he ever had an issue with Acro Eating Flat Worms and he looked at me like I was stupid. He didnt know what I was talking about. For some one to own a store I feel like they need to up to date on stuff like that. So if you buy things from there I would QT them sence he doesnt know what he is looking for.

To me it would be understandable that with the quality of hand picked live stock coming from reputable sources that he would not have a problem with AEFW.
Its like asking your butcher if he has a problem with mad cow disease in his meat. Of course he is going to look at you like you have 2 heads.
It sounds like you are the one that very high on himself and have insulted the proprietor of a fine establishment by asking how diseased his livestock is. I don't think I would have had the control he had and tossed you out on the street.
You come down here asking where to see the best we have to offer and we graciously give you our thoughts, and you have the gal to bash our LFS.
Next time stay in Atlanta, but then you probably have insulted the best they have to offer and really need to shop out of state. I'm sure they will still let you shop in Petco.

You are probably right about the PM. I knew that it might bring down the Mods on this thread but I felt compelled.
He might have been seeking advise and he might have been looking for something to find at fault, who's to say?
My point is that reeferman75 had shown us his elitest attitude, probably the same as he projected toward the owner of AA.
There was no good coming from his statement, it was posted only to inflame. What does he care if it is the nicest shop we have he won't be coming back and should have been kept his comments to himself.
I hear that there is a new shop in Ft.Meyers that is showing real promise. I intend to drive down just to see for my self and if it is not on my list of places to go back to I'm not going out of my way to find a thread on it and bash it. Thats just pointless and would serve no purpose but to inflame the situation.
I welcome you to come up and see for yourself, and if there is a LFS you like better, thats great. But I encourage you to post a thread inviting us to come down and see your favorite LFS, not bash ours.
