Yes, the blue light work very well here. I own a lfs in sao paulo, brazil, and my frag tank is under blue and royal blue only since october 2011.

It looks great! I was meaning a test group of corals that stay in place...for example if you were to grow a chalice coral under actinic only for 6 months how would it do...the ones in our test nanos start receding tissue after a few months
Since your corals are sold/rotated its hard to know how long they could go?
brandon, I can tell you that they get a little more color than after they get there.
But I am sure that the AI cannot hold the red color for most corals. They get orange after a couple of weeks. But they still grow nicely.
Anyway, I agree that a well done experiment would be great! For my experience with LPS I would say that LED with a couple of T5 will do the best in color..
