Aquarium of the Americas - New Orleans, LA.

I took a trip down the the New Orleans Aquarium for the 1st time in a while. The place is lookg pretty good, although some exhibits are still down from Katrina. Here are the photos I took during the trip. The lighting was not the best - real dim on most of the tanks. The only decent lit tank there was a reef tank. I tried to make the best of it all as I had no idea what to expect. I only brought the 105mm also. :\ All were shot with ISO1600, except the last photo.

Unknown fish - about 1' long and real smooth.

i don't know, but that fish is AWSOME, as are the pictures, anyone w/ an ID would be more than welcome to chime in

Nice photos, I'd love to see more. My wife and I try to make a point of seeing any zoo or aquarium in any new town we visit. We've never made it there.

And, FWIW, I think that's an LTA, not BTA. But whatever, it's still a beautiful shot.
