I have something that I have been using for around a year. RC user (and former MTRC member) theop and I developed it, and I have added a bit of functionality over time. It includes the following functionality:
<ul><li>Keep track of common reef params.</li>
<li>Keep tank notes for things like tank additions, bulb changes, etc.</li>
<li>User specified high/low ranges for reef params, and auto highlighting of params that are out of the desired range.</li>
<li>User specified units for System Volume (gallons/liters), Additives (ml, oz), Alk (meq/l, dKH), and Temp (F, C).</li>
<li>Automatic calculation of Randy's 2-part additions for Ca, Alk, and Mg.</li></ul>
All of the features work for me, but have not been extensively tested for others. The calculated values for the 2-part addition are based on information I obtained from RC member JDieck, who I think got the information from Randy Holmes-Farley. It is the same information that is found on the web reef chemistry calculator (http://jdieck1.home.comcast.net/chemcalc.html). I strongly recommend that anyone who uses the auto-calculation feature of the spreadsheet to double check the results with the online reef calculator until you feel confident in the spreadsheet calculations.
Here is how the spreadsheet works:
<ol><li>Set your tank parameters in the "Tank Params" tab of the spreadsheet (Total System Volume, etc).</li>
<li>If desired, change the "Normal Ranges" for temp, specific gravity, etc, in the "Lists" tab of the spreadsheet.</li>
<li>Track your information on the "Aquarium Log" tab.</li></ol>
To have it auto-calculate 2-part additions based on measured Ca, Alk, or MG:
<ol><li>Make sure the appropriate values are entered in the spreadsheet</li>
<li>Enter the recipe from the "Type" column</li></ol>
Recipe #1 is for systems with typically low pH, Recipe #2 is for systems with typically high pH. Explanation of the recipe can be found here: http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/rhf/index.php
I use Recipe #1 and it works great for me. Be extra-extra careful if you use Recipe #2, as I have not fully verified that those values calculate correctly.
At any rate, <b>USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK</b> -- It works great for me, but YMMV...
