Aquarium Upgrade On A Budget

I'm finally starting to make a fair amount of progress on my "budget build" which has seemingly taken me for ever to accomplish... pretty much everything involved has been collected/traded/purchased from fellow RC members as far away as Tahoe, all the way down to the Bay Area, slightly beyond and inbetween! (thanks again to those of you who have contributed to my project in any way)!

Getting close to a final game plan which pleases me greatly

Thanks Anthony!

The tank is 48x18x25 AGA90 with single offset internal "Megaflow" overflow... It is sitting on a beefy oversized custom stand made to hold a 60" aquarium, but I like the look and I LOVE all the space under the stand! The sump is 36x16x16 and I still have tons of room available for ATO water storage and whatever else I would like to fit all inside the stand.

I confess I am having a minor case of buyers remorse with the tank purchase and wonder if I should keep looking for a 120g 48x24x24 with dual internal overflows, or better yet a 150g 60x24x24!!

If I do stick with the 90g, I intend to convert the original "Durso" style overflow/return plumbing to the "Herbie" style overflow for added piece of mind of having a emergency drain, which means I will also need to redesign the return plumbing...

I could also use recommendations of a suitable return pump (I have room to run external or internal pumps).

As for the return pump I really like my water blaster. They run quiet and low heat. However I have read alot of good things about the DC pumps.
