Of course! Right after I sell off most of my tank! Too bad... sorry to see him go.
Any idea when they'll be closing for sure? I'll be down Thursday night late till monday, so i'll definatly stop by... if there is anything left...
It's too bad that they're closing. I've never been there and I'm right there in boca. I've heard good things too. Damned shame...

Darn wish i saw this this morning. i woulda ran over tehre and got any and all halide setups for my prop systems
every lfs is hurtin from what i hear. support your lfs buy your drygoods and equiptment there. its a lil more then online but if you dont youll loose more of the lfs and beforced to pay shipping on your fish and corals ( lol talk about wasteing money)

ATTR......sorry but alot of the LFS's hike up the price almost 30-40% above retail....sorry that not a small increase..thats robbery....even with shipping charges I get items for less than an LFS...

An LFS is retail so I don't understand how they could hike it above what they sell it for? I think they raise the price more than that above wholesale due to operating costs, shipping, labor, doa, etc...etc...
I don't think the issue was if you could get it cheaper online. I think that is pretty much fact. But what about when you have a pump or equipment failure that you need something asap? If you don't buy from the LFS and he goes out of business where would you but that equipment when it is an emergency?

THat is a serious shame to say the least. I know Scott have been wanting to get out for a while, so it is not a total surprise. He used to get some of the nicest and uncommon fish around for not too bad prices. Cheap? no, but healthy and nice stuff nevertheless. He is actually a nice guy too. At least that has been my experience. From a seller point of view, I can see how one can come out wrong after a while of hearing tons of people asking for $2 frags, freebies, complaining of prices above petco, etc. He will be sorely missed by me personally. It could not have been at a worse time for me too as I just tore down my 1000g system a few weeks ago. I seriously wished I still had it up as I would come home with at least 2 dozen fish he had there.
