Would anyone be willing to share their 24hr light schedule? I'm not happy with my current schedule.

Ron, what is your reason for running the violets less than the blues, do you just prefer the way it looks? What do you think about some schedules that run violets and blues the same?

It's just my opinion, but I don't think the corals use the violet for photosynthesis the same as they do the 2 blue channels (and that's why there are way less violet leds in the fixture). I've also noticed that my corals fluoresce well under either of the blue channels, but less under the violet alone. It seemed to lose some of the 'pop' and some colors. I tried some true UV leds (385nm) by themselves and the result was even less color from fluorescence. The only color that fluoresced was green, and I always see more than enough green in my tank.

There is nothing wrong with running the violet channel at any setting. Given the small number of violet leds, even at 100% they aren't adding that that much PAR. So I don't see any harm. It's not like running the red leds at 100% which is adding spectrum that is very beneficial to algae growth, which I try and keep mostly in my refugium and not in the reef.
