basically these are just stacked against the back in a pile, I just havent decided how to scape it. SHould I try to attach some of the rocks together? Maybe bring some closer to the front?
Basically its a back wall with 4 caves and a tench between a smaller formation of rocks in the front. The back wall is 3-4" away from the back glass with room for wads of chaeto and flow.

Nope. Its all stacked but there are some large pieces that enabled me to do it that way. I recommend the acrylic rod method if you have lots of smaller pieces. You can get 1/4" dia. rod for about 12 cents a foot. With a slightly larger drill bit you can put the rock together like a tinker toy set.
I've got 2 40 Breeders. Neither one is fullystocked but you can see how I setup the rockwork. I'm not a very experienced with aquascaping and just kind of winged it but I am happy with how it came out.
This tank is mainly for zoanthids, LPS & softies. I have an open sand "lagoon" in the front left and the rock comes closer to the front as it moves to the right. This leaves a small area behind the rock wall on the right for frags. I like the fact that it is asymetrical in height and laterally.
This will be an SPS dominated tank. (Not much in it yet.) I didn't have a ton of rock to work with and wanted to leave room for the SPS to grow. I like the rock ledge that I created on the right.
These might not be the best ways to aquascape but it is always good to see more examples right? The 40 breeder is an awesome tank. It is still relatively small but gives you a good amount of real estate to work with.
