Aquascaping the new 110G FOWLR

If matt goes in on the order with us, then we'll all save more in the end. Also now that i got the 130 in the house (i measured tonight, came out to 130g rather than 125 or 135), i'm 100% in on the group buy. This tank is substantially larger than my current one :D

I'm definitely in as was more than pleased with the last order sure the hermits were small but man that was a good price and the survival rate was good. I also purchased two fish last time and they are doing great so if anyone had thoughts on that I had great luck with the fish too. Put me down for at least 50 each but more probably 100 each.

So tell me how your hermits grew. It's impossible for them to stay that small forever w/o dying or moving into new shells. I didn't have 100's of shells for them to grow into or choose from, did you guys? Maybe that's the difference. I don't have a single one left, but then again, I take everything that dies out of my tank, including shells, and it isn't like I had 100 extra laying around in the first place. Very interesting.

They move into new shells; either astrea snail shells, nassarius snail shells, or the smaller blue legged steal the larger blue legged, or they steal the red legged crab shells, which then the red legged move into larger astrea shells or small conch snail shells........

You need to have some extra shells of different sizes in there for them.

I guess technically, I couldn't tell you that I KNOW mine grew, but I can say that they moved into "new" shells - when the hermits arrived from reeftopia, they were living in small, darker colored shells. My current tank's substrate has a couple of bags of crushed coral/shell mixed with a bag of aragonite - within a matter of days, I saw hermits that were inside of the white bleached shells that were once just part of the substrate.
When I first got into reefkeeping - a few weeks after my first tank cycled, I noticed one of my BIG fuzzy hermits (I now know these hermits aren't reef-safe) crawling around without its shell and felt as much sympathy for it as one can feel for an invertebrate the size of a marble. I went to Cichlids & Salt and John hooked me up with a handful of empty shells - problem fixed.

Hello everyone.
I'd like to get in on a group buy if I can.I'm new down here but could paypal or run up some money to the springfield area to get in on this one. The 12 or so snails left in my cleanning crew just are not cutting it in my 90 gallon.

I'd be good for
50 nassarius vibex
50 turbos
50 blue leg hermits small are fine
2 emeralds
24 cerith snails
Of course if ya found I could get more of any item for just a little more I would be up for that too. Example 100 hermits,75 turbos or 75 nassarius vibex
