Aquastyle.com LED kits??

I just received the 36 LED kit for my 40b with the dimmable drivers. Built the canopy and aluminum U channel to mount the LED's. Hope to have it running within a couple of weeks.

I would LOVE to see pics. I'm debating on how to mount mine. Im going to order two of their 24 kits.

pwreef...may I ask which color white leds you bought?
also, what ratio of W:RB did you wind up doing and what K value would you say your fixtures are producing?

thanks
C :)

has anyone purchased from AquaStyle via email and paypal for a custom order as opposed to their site?
if so, how was your transaction experience?

I purchased custom stuff because I did not want drivers and I wanted larger heatsinks. Just e-mail them. They usually respond 24 hours later or so. I negotiated what I needed and then sent paypal payment. It took a week or so for them to ship my stuff out. I went 1:1 RB to 10K white. I have separate dimmers for each color that I use with my Reefkeeper. I am sorry I cannot tell what the color is. I am quite new at this whole thing. Plus the colors change of course depending on what % dim you have. I found that the whites are too white. The coraline that is nice and red under my warm white ceiling lights is quite washed out under the LED. The only thing I can compare to is my old light which was Coralife with 150MH and 2 PC 50/50 Actinic/White. The MH bulb in that is 14K it says, but to me there is no blue in it at all. Its just a yellowish kind of light. I will try to take better pictures, but all in all I don't think that these LEDs are going to be drastically different from CREE. I think its just the matter of personal choice and experimenting a little. After all at $2/LED its OK to buy some even if you won't use them.

I order a custom setup from them just a few days ago. I changed it twice after it was ordered with some of the new things that they came out with no questions asked. It shipped already and will be here Wednesday. I definitely recommend to everyone.

I have ordered twice now from them and each time they were very accommodating. I did it via e-mail and not their site. I dealt with Ray each time. They are slow to reply (Seems like only 1 reply a day) but other than that everything I got from them was exactly what I expected of it.

I know people love pictures, so here are some shots from my build on their products. I am in the process of building another array right now for my 120G Reef tank, which has 144 LED's with a ratio of 2:1 RB:W. They didn't have meanwells when I first ordered, so I got their manual dimmer versions. Now with the meanwells I will be using an ALC on a Reefkeeper to dim them for me.

Very polished fixture, good job.
The light output and coverage looks good. How many LEDs are on that fixture and what mix of color?

Thanks,
I actually made 6 of them, just didn't have a all the parts shown.

I used mostly white (10K) and Royal Blues. There was 2UV's and 1 Red on some of the fixtures.

I ended up selling off 4 fixtures and kept 2 of them over the tanks as it was way too much light for what I was doing. I have a Maxspect Fixture + 2 of my DIY fixtures split across 80" of tank now and I am getting good growth.

Do you have any pictures of the leds mounted on the heatsink? Im trying to order and wanted to do a 2:1 ratio also but am trying to figure out how to arrange them. Thanks!

i have the 90 led kit from aquastyle. i was trying to attach my led's to my heat sink but the plaster never set even after an hour i could still move the led around and the package says dries in 10 min. the heatsink i am using is 3/4 inch aluminum u channel. whats your experience with this? did yours set up or remain flexable
