Frag'm, Bag'm, and Take'm at the
SEASL Aquatic Treasures Store Visit.

We know your calendars are getting full as Christmas approaches, so hopefully this will give you plenty of notice. Aquatic Treasures in Collinsville, IL will be hosting a SEASL store visit and PROPAGATION workshop!

SAVE THE DATE: December 22, 2010 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Our propagation workshop attracted lots of participants last December. Not only were people pleased to get hands-on experience, they were quite happy to take home their creations. I still see people during my LFS visits who tell me how well their new corals have been doing.

Velko is working out the deals he will be offering that night. As the date gets closer we will make that announcement.

Here's a great chance to treat yourself to a reefer's Christmas present. You will be able to pick up some great deals from the store and take home a "œhandmade" gift.:hammer:

More announcements will follow. But for now, SAVE THE DATE!

Looking forward to see you guys.I will have a special discount for the club, also I will donate few corals of your choice to be propagated.Velko.

Only 7 more days left until"¦"¦"¦"¦"¦the Store visit and "œFrag'm, Bag'm, and Take'm" propagation workshop at Aquatic Treasures, of course!

From 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, come try your hand at fragging zoanthids, leather corals, SPS and maybe a mushroom or two. SEASL and Aquatic Treasures will provide all the supplies, SEASL members will provide the instruction, you provide the participation.

It gets even better. Velko will be offering 25% off livestock that evening!

Come on out and enjoy yourself, make some friends, see some old friends, make some corals (for free), and get a great deal on livestock.

Aquatic Treasures is very easy to find. It is located right off interstate 55-70 at:
2533-A Vandalia St.
Collinsville, Il 62234
(618)344-7333

See you there!

Koodie Doo,
That is easy. All you have to do is come and participate.

If you find something you like in the store, support Velko by taking advantage of the 25% discount on livestock he is offering. As far as supporting the club, we would always welcome the support of purchasing a $10 annual membership so we can continue this sort of programming. But all that is completely voluntary and there will be no pressure.

Bottom line is: to be a part of it all you have to do is be there.

A good time will be had by all---if you like saltwater, that is.

Jim

PS Your signature is the best I've ever read. That describes us pretty well.

That is great! I was under the impression you had to be a member to attend a Seasl event! I hope to make this event!

Boy, I am glad we got that cleared up. That has never been the case for any SEASL events. Hope you can make it!

Take care,

Jim

Jim, it's funny this came up because I think I've heard people say "I'd love to come, but I'm not sure what it takes to be a member, and I don't have a lot of money" on nearly a bi-monthly basis.

My answer is always "who cares??? Get out there and enjoy the show!" I personally couldn't care less where you sign up, if you like SW you're my friend. I mean its not like we card people. Wait, do we even still have cards??? lol

Oh, and Koddie Doo, I've stolen you're sig many a time so let me know if you get a patent on it. Can't afford the lawsuit. :D

It's a pico tank. It's actually not mine, the pic was pulled from a freshwater magazine somewhere. I'd love to have a SW tank that size, even if it's just a single polyp acan or a little patch of zoas. I keep it up there to remind me the possibilities are endless.

Any members that may have a large coral that they are interested in fragging but may be weary of the task please feel free to bring it and we will help you chop it up!
Some of our "Senior" members will also be bringing special tools (like a Dremel with diamond wheel) to cut harder stony corals.
Jim P

would you like for me to bring some dry ruble to glue the frags to, I have some and feel that i should contribute somehow.

Being completely honest it is probably the least I could do...

Velko, What kind of livestock do you currently have in?
