LoL very Ironic that right after repying to Moneypit I got this email.

I think this will give an insight as to how nice the people at Aquatronica are. (BTW I am going away for a week but hopefully I will be able to remotely post the pictures when I get them)

Not only will I send you pictures tomorrow, but I will send you over the PDF files of the new catalogues we presented here at the show!

Will was here today and he was really excited about what he saw. SMS module, Ethernet module, dosing pumps, dimming, PIN safety lock, Redox calibration solution, water leakage sensors and the multitester were all up and running, even though some of them just got out of our lab! Bring on the photos!!! Maybe I'll buy one of their new units, any word on rather they have redisigned their Salinity probes?

Photo's are up on AO's website. No word on the salinity probes, but mine seems to have leveled out. I'll be doing a report of my entire experience with them shortly, but it's looking good now.
 
I am far from home now, but I checked my email Via a Dial Up at a friends house and found that I have gotten 6 PDF files from Aquatronica, they are all 4+ mb in size. I have no way to upload them to RC! Sorry guys. I should be back by next weekend but I am sure the files will be on AQT site by then.

BTW In Hell there must only be Dialup, I am suffering right now.

I was in the shop yesterday and had a firsthand look at the new brochures! Some sweet looking stuff for sure!

Will said that he would be posting the PDF files on the site if he could get them down to a managable size. I'll ask him again when I see him. Also, I noticed this morning that there is a special on the premium system.

All these new devices are great, means that AQT is actually listening to the users which is a nice change. Can't wait for my ethernet module.

I just took the plunge; been following for quite a bit, but just ordered yesterday, partially based on what looks to be coming out in the near future!

Seriously, tho, it looks like they're really trying to add/make what people are asking for, and that, combined with AO's customer service, and the lack of X-10 modules makes me pretty happy about picking this up...

Hope, though, they get a good working Salinity system, I haven't ordered one, based on the info here, but would LOVE to have one as a second fail-safe on my top-off system...

I can't wait to get this thing home, and up and running!

Maybe, now that Aquamedic is selling them perhaps they will supply a better salinity probe. I might be moving soon which means I will have a chance to upgrade my 200 to a 350 gallon not to mention an excuse to buy some new gear. I will admit that I am impressed with the money AQ is spending on upgrading their controller. It will be interesting to find out when the new items will be available.

Per Will at AO, the "Cosmetic" issues was kind of a translation/typo. It doesn't look like, per him, there are going to be any major physical differences in the units, only in the add-ons. It was more of a statement about the improvements in the functionality of the software, and hardware, of the units...

Now it's also a possibility they are re-designing the unit, and he want's me to buy one of the "old" style units (Which I would have anyway)...

We'll see; maybe someone here has different info than what I got yesterday? I would tend to believe Will, though, he already had my AmEx number.. :) I've noticed a few awkward translations on their website, and I read about their manual.. :)

They have redisigned the unit. It will also be repackaged and sold by Aquamedic. I'm sure Will has a lot of older models on the shelf that he would like to move before the new models are released but I spoke with someone who has seen the newly designed unit and was curious to see it myself.
 
Well things change, I guess. :)

As long as the new peripherals are still compatible with my "old" unit, I'll sleep well at night... :)

Maybe the person I spoke to was mistaking, or maybe the Aquamedic version is what he saw???? Does the Aquamedic look the same?
 
My mistake on the look and I guess the only difference between AQ and Aquamedic is a sticker. I'm thinking of buying a new AQ for a prop tank now that they are so cheap. Maybe at the end of summer once I get moved and settled in.
 
I'm really looking forward to the ethernet module, just wish it was coming out before I left for vacation this year.

I've seen some people have reported problems with the conductivity probes. FWIW I've had mine since they came out and it's dead on perfect. all the time. I check it against my refractometer often.

Also, no rust on the probe.
