Technically a grounding probe is only a precautionary measure.

You should 'not' have any stray voltage in the water at any time.

If you know this is the problem you should fix the device causing it, not just install a grounding probe.

I was told the same thing by Pinpoint regarding salinity probes. They are apparently very sensitive to stray (or electrical interference from halides or power hungry pumps) voltage. You could always check the PH of a bucket full of tank water without any other pumps or probes in it, and see if you get the same fluctuations that are frustrating you now.

With new equipment this might be easy but with a tank that is running over 6 months you start to get salt creep everywhere and it will cause small high resistance voltage leaks into the tank. Almost impossible to get rid of all of them. A grounding probe placed a few inches away from your test probes fixes all these problems and it also makes you GFI switch work better.

and i didn't find it so I'll have to buy another one.

Tried something last night, I wanted to have tripple redundancy on my RO Tap up, so I had priority set in this order.

1) The Pump Water Level is OK

2) The Salinity is Above 1.024 (This is the new one)

3) The Sump Level is Low

So the idea is that if the sump level is low and the Salinity is above 1.024 and the Pump has enough water then go ahead and add RO water.

Problem is that the AQT does not seem to work with three layers of order. It seems limited to Two ! The salinity gets ignored and cannot override the Sump Level switch. The Pump Level will override so I know two levels work.

Can anyone confirm if 3 layers or more are possible?

Try it with something else like lights or ph. They may just not allow you to use salinity.

OK so you actually don't need to enter anything on the "ON" field. If you remove the "8:00" it should work fine.

The ON and OFF fields are used for cycle timer. In other words, use it if you want the device to turn on and off repeatedly during the From-To timeframe.

For example, my light mover is set to work from 14:30 to 21:30, ON for 1 minute and OFF for 30 minutes. Moves the light for 1 minute every 30 minutes.

No idea, I've never needed it or tried it. I would email Aquatronica and ask 'em. (or whoever you bought it from)

Hi,

I am no expert here with this controller by any means. It's an amazing unit thats for sure. It does absolutley everything I want it to do. And with the size of company thats behind the product. It is going to be by far the most deverse controller on the market. Well, it has the potential.

Anyway, I was wondering what the big deal is to use a serial port? What are you useing it for? I have an emty one, I also have a male to female serial port. I use that one for a joystick. But, I have nothing else that plugs in there. It basically frees up another USB port for me to put another toy on.

If I had to gripe about anything, I would have to say. I want wireless to PC. But thats just me.

Try and relax a little about what's on topic and what's not. Comparisons were made between the 2 controllers and there is a little irony in the fact that there is a recall on the other controllerââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s power supply considering some recent posts in this thread.
