Agreed, but I think the old board was more for the local aquarist club than for Aquatronica. There is a forum, that is intended for Aquatronica users, so it would be nice to get us all registered there. The thinking is that if there is a common place for people to post question etc, fixes and new feature ideas will be easier to talk about.

It is up to us to create the activity. Thanks to Will for providing the forum. Let's make it great.

I can't start a new thread, anyone else have this problem?

I just registered and posted a new thread no problem. Send the administrator a PM or something. What error are you getting?

i am having a big problem getting my pc interface to connect. I've tried it using both the supplied serial plug and the serial to usb adapter. It keeps saying "unable to connect to the system, check the connection." I have tried it on three different computers now, all with xp. Any hints anybody would like to send my way? I must be doing something wrong.

Thanks,

doug

Be sure that your controller is on the main screen (the one that shows the plugs and also the probe values scrolling through) and try it again.

I just installed the softwear on my computer and it is in Italian or Spanish. Any way I can switch to english?

In the topmenu go to the 2nd, the middle one, and select there the second line, thats the language.

The cool part about the forum over there is, they are already adding good info to the aquatronica forum. The problems I had are addressed there. I think if we have other AQT users post there small problems and work arounds on there. We could have a place to read up on this controller. I mean, "North American" content.

Most everything I have read about AQT, is on european boards and they have there problems fixed and are running good. They have such a diffrent electical system. Most of the bugs we have here are just stupid little problems that can be fixed if the information is available.

Plus maybe the Poll there will help AQT determine what is most important. Hahaha

I think I isolated what causes the "Time Error" when reading graphs on the PC.

It seems like if you have the AQT PC software running and connected to the unit when a graph update occurs it causes the data to be messed up. Example: You have your AQT set for 1 day graphing which means every 30 minutes it updates the graph data. If you hookup your PC and read the graph it's fine, but if you leave the PC hooked up for 31 minutes and then go back and try to read the Graph you get a time error. BTW this can happen instantly if your unlocky enough to hookup your PC and have a graph update occur at just that instant.

Until it's fixed I recommend that people who use 1 day graphs make sure to check the last data time on the AQT before hooking up the PC and try to time the hookup so it's right after the last update. then make sure you read your graphs quickly and exit before the next update. For 7 day graphs this is not so much of a problem as there is a 3 hour window on updates.

Hey is there a built in program for moon lighting? I could have swarn there was but now I can't find it. I wan't to build some moon lights and do the phases of the moon.

No there is nothing to do that except just a place to plug one in and assign it a timer to turn it on when you want. You would be better off buying a dedicated moonlight unit with dimmable settings and save yourself using up an AQT plug.
