I should be getting my Elos today, I'll keep you posted.
Bebo77,
The salinity probe is a lost cause. You should send it back for a refund or credit for a new one when they correct the issue. BTW I heard that Aquatronica might be selling their company, not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Something really strange about your problem, even when my unit was new and had the orginal firmware I still had more options than yours has. You must have a really old firmware version, (Pre AO) in your unit,

i still dont kow what to do with my salinity probe.. the number still means nothing to me.... i calibrated the thing witht the fluid that Will sent me.. but i dont know how the numbers relate to the chart that pysire posted above

That sounds strange since they have been selling more units now than ever before. Where did you hear this?

Any update on the sms or network module? So far I am very pleased with my aqtuatronica.

I think they are still planning on showing the demo unit at Interzoo next month. But I remember hearing something that it will not be released for another couple months after that. :mad2: Will from AO will be going to Interzoo so we should know more soon...

No problem. Will is also planning on uploading pictures while at Interzoo so keep checking back! :D

Posted a few pictures of the Elos Controller in the Elos Sponsor forum, I know some of you mentioned interest in seeing them.

I checked it out moneypit, really nice system but the more I look at how it is suppose to be mounted and how they do the wiring is the more I apreciate the way Aquatronica did theres. I see major problems with the Elos trying to get all those wires back up to the controller, I think AQ has a better thought out method by using the Power strip as a central hub. Other than that it all looks great, I am looking forward to seeing how you tackle the installation problems.

Yo Pysire any news on your Salinity probe drift measurements?
I am doing some tests of my own to see how long each probe maintains calibration, so far the pH and the ORP seem great but the Salinity probe seems to be going off after 2 weeks.

Alright guys...Level sensor question...

I have 2 level sensors in my sump. The first is "Max Sump" which activates my topoff pump (Kalkwasser) when the water level drops. The second I would like to configure as "Min Sump". I want it to turn off my return pump if the level drops to that point and it works fine BUT it turns the pump right back on once the pump turns off and water starts to drain back into the sump. Anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I have the same setup, except I use a third level sensor thats set to alarm whenever the filter sponge and carbon get clogged. I have the same problem like you with the Min Level going on and off with the back flow. I toyed with the idea of putting a one way valve on the return but I dont want to sacrifice any head pressure so I scraped that idea, if you have excess head pressure then maybe this will work for you.

It would be nice if the AQ had a delay setting, maybe we can ask if they can put one in.

Thanks, BTW your out of town so much, I now understand why the webserver would be so useful for you.

you guys get your webservers yet? or are they still in production?

I think they are still planning on showing the demo of the webserver at Interzoo in a couple weeks.

Alright, at least its not just me. So you havent come up with any solution either? I know there has to be some way to accomplish it but I dont have the time to sit down and figure it out. :)

Doesn't the AQT have some ability to delay re-reading the input for a certain amount of time? I think it was called Hysterisis (or something).

Once the float swith triggers the low sump level condition and stops the pump...you want the AQT to ignore input from the float switch for a certain period of time. In this case, you would set that to something significant..like 30 minutes.

It is the same function that you use to prevent the evaporative system from triggering on/off every second. In that case, you tell the system to ignore the float for 30 seconds or so.

Hmm. I was just rereading the AQT manual and I can't find mention of this function. I may be confusing my controllers again. Best to add that to the list, AQT..because other controllers have this ability.
