Aquawind fan motor failing

I bought one of these Aquawind fans last summer and was very pleased with how it worked and how quiet it was. I live in Phoenix, so as the weather began heating up earlier this month, I took the fan out of storage and mounted it back on the tank. It ran well for a couple of days, but now seems to be making a terrible sound. We think that one of the fans is failing. For the price, I would have expected that it would last for more than one season. Are there parts we can purchase that can be used to repair it?

Thanks.

The only things I can think of that would cause this is the unit had some weight on it and possibly bent a little, a foreign object got into it in storage or some salt creep has affected the bearings. Like any aquarium fan out there, they don't handle water or salt exposure very well. So long as there is no evidence of direct contact of saltwater with the circuitry, if you send it in and we cannot repair it, we would replace it under warranty-

Hi Roger, thanks for the response. I just verified in my order history with Marine Depot that the purchase date was 3/27/2011. The fan itself has been running normally for a couple of weeks since I took it out of storage. I just took it off of the aquarium to get a closer look and don't see anything stuck in it. It did take a few minutes of running it before it started making that sound again. One fan seems to be running normally and slowly came to a stop, whereas the other seemed to have come to a quick stop when I turned it off. It seems like the fan motor itself may be failing.

What information do I need to send along with the fan for repair?
